Parallel

Where is this little boy heading?
"Parallel" is a short animation seamlessly integrated with live-action footage of a playground. The rapidly intersecting scenes initially give the illusion of the child running towards the playground. However, as the scenes gradually intersect slower and slower, it becomes evident that these two spaces are forever parallel and can never meet.

Hidden beneath the saddle of the bicycle sculpture, an animation depicts a child running continues to play. Did the child set out to find this bicycle? Upon closer inspection, various AI Generated patterns and images are revealed on the bicycle, including a dog, a forest, and even a symbol resembling a home. These details hint at the destination the child may have been seeking.

빠르게 교차되는 두영상은 얼핏보면 마치 아이가 놀이터로 뛰어가는 것처럼 보인다. 그러나, 뒤로 갈수록 천천히 교차되면서 이 두개의 공간은 서로 영원히 평행하여 만날수 없음을 역설적으로 알려주게된다. 끝부분, 아이만남고 아주 작게 몇번의 폭발소리가 들리면서 영상은 끝이난다.

자전거 Sculpture 안장밑에는 영상이 투사되고 있다. 아이는 이 자전거를 찾으러 떠난 것이었을까. 자세히 보면 자전거에는 여러 패턴의 이미지가 전사되어있는데, 강아지, 숲, 뿐만아니라 집을 상징하는 모양도 포함되어있다. 이는 아이가 궁극적으로 향하고 있던 곳을 말하는 단서일지도 모른다.
